Hackathons & Data Dialogues

Hackathons (a combination of hacking and marathon) are events during which participants complete a programming project in a short period of time (4 - 48 hours). Whether it is project development, data analysis or software programming depends on the hackathon. For participants, a hackathon is an ideal opportunity to selectively apply their expertise, network with other data analysts, and get to know the hosting parties. Company todo

A Data Dialogue is an event format where a social organization / foundation / association with specific data challenges meets a group of data scientists from the CorrelAid cosmos and gathers initial solutions to problems over the course of 3-4 hours. This brainstorming and sketching of initial solutions can then be the preliminary stage to a concrete project idea. The partner organization is made aware of how it can meet challenges posed by and with data. The volunteers gain experience in developing Data4Good project ideas and recognize the potential of data for solving societal challenges.

Cooperations

We are happy to organize hackathons or data dialogues with other organizations or foundations. Our current cooperation with the Bertelsmann Stiftung shows: coming together with data enthusiasts from our interdisciplinary community to brainstorm on project-internal data challenges adds great value to the overall project work.

Feel free to contact Isabel to discuss what a successful partnership could look like.
